Refund Policy

This policy applies to the RentSafe TDS filing service only. Free calculators and guides are provided at no cost and have no refund implications.
RentSafe Service Fee — When Refunds Are Issued
The RentSafe service fee (₹299 per monthly filing, or the applicable plan fee) covers our work in calculating TDS, depositing Challan 281, filing Form 26QC, and generating Form 16C. Because this process involves government portal interactions and third-party payment processing, our refund policy is structured as follows:
If you request a refund within 24 hours of payment and we have not yet initiated the TDS deposit process, we will refund the full service fee (₹299 or applicable amount). The TDS amount itself (which is deposited to the government) cannot be refunded.
If Form 26QC is filed incorrectly or late due to an error on our part (not arising from incorrect information you provided), we will refund the service fee in full and also cover any resulting government penalties as per our penalty guarantee.
If we are unable to complete the Form 26QC filing within 5 business days of receiving complete and accurate information from you (excluding delays caused by government portal downtime), we will refund the service fee in full.
Once Form 26QC has been successfully filed and Form 16C generated, the service fee is non-refundable as the work has been completed.
If you provided incorrect PAN numbers, rent amounts, or other details that resulted in a filing error, the service fee is not refundable. We will assist you in filing a correction at a reduced fee.
TDS Amount — Refund Policy
The TDS amount you pay (5% of rent, deposited to the Income Tax Department via Challan 281) is a government-mandated tax payment. Once deposited to the government, this amount cannot be refunded by TrufinOps. If an incorrect amount was deposited, it may be claimed as excess TDS in your Income Tax Return — please consult a CA for guidance.
Annual Plan — Pro-Rated Refunds
If you have purchased the annual plan (₹1,999 for 12 months) and wish to cancel after some filings have been completed, we will provide a pro-rated refund for the remaining months, provided the cancellation request is made within 30 days of any unfiled period. Months in which filings were completed are non-refundable.

We aim to process approved refunds within 5–7 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Razorpay.
